Marilyn M. Wilder recently received certification from the Supreme Court of the State of Kansas, Office of Judicial Administration, as an approved mediator. This approval comes following 48 hours of training, fulfillment of co-mediation requirements and recommendations from others involved in the legal system.
Mediation is a method of dispute resolution outside of litigation. It involves bringing the parties to the dispute together with a neutral third party to discuss possible resolutions. Ms. Wilder is certified to mediate cases regarding custody, visitation, and small claims. In some circumstances, Ms. Wilder can also provide mediation services upon request by individuals who would like to resolve a conflict prior to making a court filing.
Ms. Wilder has been a licensed attorney since 1988 and has been practicing law in Newton since 1990.
